The Subwoofer boasts of an average power capacity of 600 watts, which yields unwavering performances with unmatched quality. At peak levels, it can gorge up to 2,400 watts without hesitation. The raw power of the animal is imprisoned in an 18-mm reinforced plywood cage coated with DuraFlex and shielded by a metallic, honeycomb-like grill. Overall, the enclosure comforts the inherent components and gives the MPro a rugged look. The inherent structure allows JBL to extend its innovative cooling mechanism to the low frequency transducer, so that the loss of output quality resulting from power compression is greatly minimized.

The MP418S is an 18-inch Subwoofer designed to play to its potential in a satellite environment, where the Sub itself is the central piece on which a smaller, two-way speaker is mounted. This kind of trinity setup allows users to exploit the mid and high frequency capabilities of the speaker, while harking on the ultra-low Sub. When the Sub is placed on the floor, the top-mounted, reinforced receptacle facilitates suitable positioning of the speaker system.

You can pair the MP418S with the powered Sub, MPro MP418SP, to create a dual 18-inch configuration with a power capacity of 1,320 watts. In such a configuration, MP418S acts as a slave to the powered Subwoofer.
