Prezentare Moog Guitar - Paul Vo Collector Edition
The Moog Guitar puts revolutionary new technology in the hands of the guitarist. Moog Music is known for building the finest instruments and the Moog Guitar is first and foremost a very fine guitar; designed to be played by the best musicians as their primary axe. Its AAAAA maple top, premium swamp ash or mahogany body and ebony finger board bespeak the quality that musicians have come to expect from a Moog instrument.
The addition of Moog Guitar Electronics opens guitarists to a whole new musical vocabulary: Not a guitar synthesizer, not a MIDI guitar or an effects processor; players are intimately connected to The Moog Guitar because it works its magic on the strings themselves.

The Pick-ups
The Moog Guitar pickups are a patented, custom design. Because of the technology advancements implemented by Moog with this guitar, we cannot divulge too much detail on these pickups. By nature, they are single-coil architecture, but have some differences from your classic single-coil design.
Pickup Description:
The Moog Guitar was AB\'d with the following instruments:
a) Anderson classic Telecaster: single coil, lower output, traditional bright and open sound
b) Gibson Les-Paul Special: P90 pickups
c) Gibson ES347: classic PAF humbucker pickups
Amps used in qualification:
a) 1958 Fender Tweed Deluxe: classic "holy-grail" amplifier. No effects, no reverb
b) 1964 Fender Black-Face Vibrolux: classic \'60s Fender
c) Direct to mixer type-preamps, sound reinforcement amplification
d) The Moog Guitar has been played through the full spectrum of amplifiers from high-gain Marshalls to small boutiques and sounds great.
Technique used in qualification:
a) No Moog Guitar internal effects used.
b) Full sustain and full mute modes used.
c) No Moog filter was used; tone control all the way open
Output levels:
a) Output level of the Moog Guitar has been set about half-way between the classic Fender single-coil output and the classic Gibson humbucker output. This would be comparable to the classic P90 pickup.
b) Further, the Moog Guitar foot pedal has an adjustment on the pedal to allow the guitarist to tailor the guitar output to their desires. The output drive level of a guitar is a critical component to the ultimate sound that the guitarist obtains from their amplifier setup and drastically changes the harmonic component and feel of the system. Note: there\'s a whole industry of guitar pedals designed just for this purpose. The Moog Guitar has this feature built-in.
c) A jazz player will probably want to lower the output level for a less pushed input to the amplifier and open up the sound more. A metal player might want to maximize The Moog Guitar\'s output to compress the input preamplifier as hard as it can go.
Personal Sound Qualification:
Listening to the Moog Guitar with the \'58 Fender Tweed Deluxe amplifier is a great way to compare the sounds of it to other instruments. The Deluxe is known for its sonic purity. There is almost nothing in the amplifier so its response is very clean. It also has a wonderful amp breakup. There is no reverb which is very helpful in evaluating the instrument directly.
Comparisons:
The Moog Guitar pickups are darker than your classic single-coil pickups. They have more "meat" than classic single-coil pickups; more akin to a classic P90 in terms of tone and output level. The Moog Guitar pickups are much brighter and more open than the classic PAF humbucker pickups. Using the foot pedal output level control, the Moog Guitar pickups can create output levels to match any of the classic pickup settings.
Conclusion:
a) The Moog Guitar sounds incredible straight through classic amplifiers.
b) Its output level can be tailored to meet the tastes of the individual musician without any additional equipment. The Moog Guitar has its own voice. The combination of four pickup settings, the ability to continuously blend in piezo output and the multiple filter combinations allows the guitarist to choose from a huge palette of sounds.
c) The Moog Guitar will work well with all existing sound-modification technologies (i.e. stomp boxes, DI\'s, dsp modellers, plug-ins, etc.)
d) Additional Point- The Moog Guitar piezos can be played either directly or through the guitar\'s filtering system. This allows the guitarist to use piezos in combination with the traditional Moog Filter which gives them a very silky sound and filters out some of the harsher qualities of most piezo outputs. Moog has custom designed the piezo acoustic system to enhance the sonic quality resulting in a warmer, more musical tone.
