Auchentoshan e singurul whisky scotian care e distilat de trei ori inainte de a fi pus la invechire " toate celelalte sunt distilate doar de doua ori. La unicitatea sa contribuie si faptul ca maltul nu este uscat cu fum de turba. Astfel, Auchentoshan single malt e mai delicat, mai dulce si mai subtil aromat decat alte whisky-uri scotiene.Dupa ce si-a facut majoratul in butoaie de bourbon, acest whisky se lauda cu un gust delicat si o aroma seducatoare de lamai parguite, ceai verde si migdale coapte.Ca nota generala, Auchentoshan se remarca printr-o mare finete si un gust light, de fructe. Aroma suava il recomanda si celor mai putin obisnuiti cu asprimea specifica altor whisky-uri scotiene.
